The Organic RDD 11 Programme is Now Open for Applications

Do you have a great idea for an organic project? If so, you can now apply for funding from a grant pool of DKK 55 million offered by ICROFS under the Organic RDD Programme (Organic Research, Development, and Demonstration Programme). The application deadline is May 6, 2025, at 12:00 noon.

In collaboration with GUDP, ICROFS is offering a grant pool of DKK 55 million under the 11th edition of the Organic RDD Programme (Organic Research, Development, and Demonstration Programme).

Application materials and more information are available on the page Organic RDD research funds and on the Danish Agricultural and Fisheries Agency's Grant Guide.

Focus Areas for Organic RDD 11

The focus areas outlined in ICROFS’ Research and Development Strategy form the foundation for the Organic RDD 11 call.

Applications may be submitted within all six focus areas:

  • CIRCULAR BIOECONOMY
  • CLIMATE AND ENVIRONMENT
  • BIODIVERSITY
  • HEALTH AND WELFARE
  • THE ORGANIC CONSUMER OF THE FUTURE
  • ORGANIC FARMING - FOR A LIVING

Project applications can address selected topics within one or more focus areas. Applications must adopt a system approach and involve relevant stakeholders, including end-users of the knowledge generated by the project.

The development of the organic sector should aim to create a sustainable industry for both farmers and society while meeting the expectations of end-users and society.

Funding is available both for projects with a business plan (type 1 projects) and type 2 projects focused exclusively on public goods. For further insights relating to type 2 projects, you may read the knowledge synthesis The Contribution of Organic Farming to Public Goods in Denmark.
