Disliked organic regulation proposal might be cut
A leaked work programme for the European Commission, accordingly to the international organic agricultural movement IFOAM EU, showed, that the rather new organic regulation proposal is one of the proposals being mentioned for modification or complete withdrawal.
This excites the IFOAM EU group, who, together with other stakeholders, since the proposal was made in March, have stated, that it is not workable. Instead, the more effective way forward is to enhance the existing regulation and strengthen it’s implementation, IFOAM argues.
And according to the movement it now appears, that the commission is testing, what the Council and the Parliament thinks.
