ICOAS is an international scientific event for cutting-edge organic agriculture research conducted in Central and Eastern Europe. ICOAS provides an opportunity for researchers, students, non-governmental organizations, practitioners, and policy makers around the globe to meet and discuss current challenges of organic agriculture sciences. It follows four excellent ICOAS conferences held in different amazing cities of Central and Eastern Europe.

The aim and scope of the conference
Europe faces a moment of transformation. Europe 2020 Strategy puts forward three mutually reinforcing priorities:
- Smart growth: developing an economy based on knowledge and innovation
- Sustainable growth: promoting a more resource efficient, greener and more competitive economy
- Inclusive growth: fostering a high-employment economy delivering social and territorial cohesion
Seven flagship initiatives are putting forward to catalyse progress under each priority theme.
