Questionnaire gathers informations on the use of organic research

Scientists, working on organic subject areas, will be able to help the project Organic-AgriWare to increase the knowledge of the online archive Organic Eprints by filling in a questionnaire.

The online archive Organic Eprints contains a wealth of organic research results.  Organic Eprints is an open, online archive for research in organic agriculture with more than 10,000 publications – and is growing rapidly. All use of the archive is free of charge.

The archive contains scientific and popular articles, reports, presentations, project descriptions, books and other research publications.

The project Organic-AgriWare wants to solve the difficulty for organic agriculture stakeholders to access knowledge which is often dispersed at different online and offline locations.
The project aims to provide advisors and farmers with context-based access to organic community knowledge, and it will help advisors to provide farmers with more accurate and concrete guidelines.
At the moment Organic Eprints is not exploited to its full potential by farmers and consultants.

In order to better focus on the work in the project and to reach a higher understanding of the needs of scientists, farmers and consultants, the Organic AgriWare project wants the target groups to fill out a questionnaire. It will not take more than ten minutes to answer it.

“We really hope that we will succeed in getting a representative cross section of the organic scientists to fill out the questionnaire, not only scientists from Denmark, but also from the rest of Europe. It is of great importance in connection to the development of new tools; tools that are able to make organic research results available for the people, who actually are going to use them”, says Ilse A. Rasmussen, coordinator of Organic Eprints and participant in the Organic-AgriWare project.

Development of the application
The knowledge gathered in the survey questionnaire is going to be used for the development of new digital tools such as apps, which are going to make it easy to access Organic Eprints on your mobile phone.

The implementation of the application done by the Greek IT-company  Agro-Know is based on a strategic partnership with ICROFS and SEGES.
