Joint forces for organic research: ERA-NET CORE Organic celebrates its 15 Years Anniversary!

The CORE Organic - Coordination of European Transnational Research in Organic Food and Farming Systems - is an ERA-NET established in 2004. It presently includes 27 European ministries and research councils under the main aim to fund transnational organic research.

By joining the forces, the network supports focused and coordinated research and innovation efforts, covering the most important challenges along the organic value chains.

During 15 years of joint collaboration, under CORE Organic I, CORE Organic II, CORE Organic Plus and CORE Organic Cofund, the partners launched 7 transnational calls with 45 projects funded for around 48M EUR. The network receives additional funding from the EC under the Horizon 2020 to support transnational research activities. To assure relevance of the research projects and dissemination of the results, the stakeholders are involved as partners together with the researchers already from the start of the projects.

The CORE Organic network express gratitude to all funders, stakeholder partners, collaborators and researchers, whose 15 years of involvement have ensured the programme continuity and research excellence in organic food and farming.

CORE Organic keeps flying forward in a formation!
