OK-Net Arable Final Conference - 15 November 2017

Join the OK-Net Arable Final Conference in Brussels on 15 November! The event is co-organized with the 3rd edition of Organic Innovation Days (15-17 Nov), which will showcase the potential innovation trends in the agricultural sector and what these mean for organics in terms of opportunities and risks.

OK-Net Arable - a Horizon 2020 project – will come to an end at the beginning of 2018 after three years of successful cooperation between a multidisciplinary team of 17 partners from 12 countries, who has been working on promoting exchange of knowledge among farmers and scientist with the aim to increase productivity and quality in organic arable cropping all over Europe.

During the day, best practices of increasing organic yields and testimony from three countries will be presented around the themes of mechanical weed control, assessing soil quality with a spade test, green manures and direct sowing. The project has launched farmknowledge.org in 2016, a web-based platform for organic farming which will be presented at the event also.

The conference will close with a roundtable discussion on knowledge exchange and innovation support in the organic farming sector.
