3rd African Organic Conference: Deadline for paper submission May 31, 2015

The 3rd African Organic Conference in Nigeria (October 5-6) targets consumers, farmers, researchers, trainers, academics, extension practitioners, policy makers, private sector actors, financiers in the agriculture value chains and promoters of organic agriculture. Deadline for submission of papers: May 31.

The conference will provide a valuable platform for:

  • Exchanging and sharing experiences of agricultural research pursuit and practical applications
  • Presentation of scientific evidence on capability of organic agriculture to contribute to food security, income generation, employment, systems resilience, among others;
  • Appraising progress of the Ecological Organic Agriculture Initiative underlying the Decision of the African heads of States and Governments on organic farming

It is organized in the context of mainstreaming organic as per decision of African Heads of State and Government. It is estimated that more than 300 delegates from at least 35 countries will attend the 3rd African Organic Conference.

Organized by AfrONet in cooperation with the Association of Organic Agriculture Practitioners of Nigeria (NOAN) and the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Federal Republic of Nigeria under the auspices of the African Unionled Coalition of Ecological Organic Agriculture Initiative (EOA) in Africa in collaboration with the International Federation for Organic Agriculture Movement (IFOAM), International Society of Organic Agriculture Research (ISOFAR) and others.

Paper submission (full paper, not more than 6 pages in A4, 1.5 spacing, Times New Romans 12 font size) 
till May 31, 2015.
